LATEST DISCUSSION ON APTN'S LINKEDIN GROUPS

In December 2009, we launched an APTN Group within LinkedIn, the professional networking site – with a membership which is now over 950 and ranges geographically across the USA (8%), Japan (8%), China (4%), India (3%), Malaysia (3%) and Singapore (3%) - with smaller groups from Austria, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Korea, Philippines, Poland, Spain, Switzerland, Taiwan and Turkey. We have used this APTN Group to launch two sub groups - AP CleanTech (which remains small) and Asian Pharmaceuticals, which has just breached the 200 mark.

We have created a site which focusses on the post-1990 history of Japanese Investment in the UK. It is built round a 20,000 word draft, written by Louis Turner and funded by the Great Britain Sasakawa Foundation. The site invites comments and corrections which will be incorporated into later versions of the main draft. We will also add documents to the site which relate to this phenomenon, such as the following
