As China ramps up its investment in research and innovation, more and more Chinese research institutions are taking part in collaborative projects with Western counterparts, often with excellent results. But despite the shifting global geography of science, many barriers to collaboration still exist. Part of an EU project to increase awareness of access opportunities for European researchers in Chinese national research and innovation programmes and improve such collaboration, this seminar will discuss the issues among experts and practitioners and feed in to strategy recommendations for the future.
