Background

This timely seminar will illuminate the progress being made by Chinese firms in key subsectors of the country’s ICT market, including telecoms, software products and related IT services.  The pace of change taking place across China’s industrial landscape today is remarkable, and the ICT industry is at the forefront of this transformation.  However, such change is actually occurring at different extents across the spectrum of ICT subsectors, and that recognition of this more complex mosaic is required to fully appreciate growth trajectories and engagement models.

Specific sector-based development pathways will be explored, so as to uncover important messages that British ICT enterprises need to understand before embarking on a successful China market entry strategy themselves.  These themes will be introduced by presenting findings from recent primary research to give an outline of practical collaboration options and opportunities, linked to the needs and capabilities of different sectors in China’s ICT industry.  This will be followed by valuable first-hand perspectives from the CIO within one of the world’s leading blue-chip IT network services providers.
