Eric Albone extends a warm invitation to you to attend the UK-Japan Young Scientist Partnership Reception, generously hosted by the Royal Society of Chemistry in their rooms in Burlington House highlighting past achievements and drawing attention to future potential, including the

2008 UK-Japan Young Scientist Workshop: in informal partnership with the University of Surrey, 3rd-9th August

• A JapanUK150 event supported by the Daiwa Anglo-Japanese Foundation, Mitsubishi Electric Europe and other partners
• for post 16 school students from both countries working together with professional scientists and engineers experiencing science as a real-life challenge and as a cultural bridge

Speakers will include the

• Rt Hon Lord Jenkin of Roding, Patron, Clifton Scientific Trust,
• Dr Richard Pike, CE Royal Society of Chemistry
• Mr Robert Rigby, Japan Airlines
• Minister Mami Mizutori, Embassy of Japan
• a representative of the University of Surrey
• and school students who took part in the 2007 Workshop in Kyoto.

and learn about the opportunities that lie before us
