REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation, and Restriction of Chemicals) entered into force on 1 June 2007 and has produced major changes in the regulatory environment. Although chemical manufacturers are the most heavily affected, producers, distributors, suppliers and importers of electrical and electronic equipment need to be aware of the legal impact of this regulation and in particular the commercial and technical risks that are now arising.
