Until this August, PIerrick has been the Head of Science and Technology section
Delegation of the European Commission in Japan, DG Research.
Before that, he was Administrator in DG Information Society (INFSO/IST), where he negotiated and monitored the Framework Research Programme for :
- applications related to health and telecommunication (telemedicine, mobile devices),
- policy drafting on "corporate governance and responsibility and employment policies via IT transformation and the knowledge economy".
- Links with MPHPT, METI, MEXT.

-Co-ordination of research projects (ESPRIT programme) in the field of digital libraries,
- industrial co-operation policy setting-up working groups between governmental (NSF, METI) agencies, companies, universities from the USA, Japan and Europe, with the support of the EU delegation in Washington and Tokyo.
